About Me

Hi, I’m Carrie! My yoga journey began when I was a kid doing yoga VHS tapes (yes VHS tapes) with my mom in our living room. I continued doing yoga on and off as I grew up and after various injuries, I rediscovered how beneficial and therapeutic it can be. This led me to pursue my certification in yoga instruction allowing me to deepen my own personal practice as well as share the power of yoga with others.
As a teacher I love challenging my students physically and mentally through my classes. I use alignment-based movement and creativity to challenge the preconceived notions of yoga and help my students grow and progress. I believe movement is medicine and enjoy helping my students use yoga to move and feel better in their bodies. In addition to the physical benefits of yoga asana (poses) practice I always try to incorporate a mind-body connection in all my classes through breath work (pranayama) and breath-based movement. My goal is to help students reach their yoga and mindfulness goals whether through group classes or individual practice.
